It originates from a historic recipe from 1870, signed by Egidio Isolabella. What makes it unique is the harmonious union between Moscato d'Asti and a refined bouquet of aromatic herbs. Egidio Isolabella was born in Alessandria in 1835 and moved at a young age to Genoa, a city of merchants and spices, where he developed an intense passion for flavors, perfumes, and essences. After fighting in the Second War of Independence, it was in Milan that he discovered the art of vermouth thanks to his meeting with Cesare Berutti, from whom he learned the wisdom of balancing herbs and spices.

It was then that he decided to bring his vision to life: a white vermouth based on Moscato, capable of uniting fragrances and gentleness. Thus was born the “Vermouth Bianco Isolabella High Life”, which in 1870 became a production reality in Milan, quickly receiving prestigious recognition. In 1906, Egidio was appointed judge at the World Expo, and his company was recognized as a Supplier
of the Royal House of Italy.

Despite the destruction of the plant in 1943, the original formula has been preserved, passed down from generation to generation until today. In Loazzolo, in the Borgo Isolabella founded by Lodovico and Maria Teresa, this heritage has come back to life, renewed but faithful to its original
spirit.

High Life si esprime al meglio in purezza, servito freddo, con un cubetto di ghiaccio e una scorzetta d’arancia o un’oliva per un aperitivo raffinato.
La sua aromaticità delicata lo rende perfetto anche a fine pasto, in alternativa a distillati più alcolici, e brilla nei cocktail d’autore, dove equilibrio e finezza sono protagonisti.

True to the original formulation, we preserve the percentage of Moscato d'Asti used by Egidio intact, as well as many of the selected herbs and spices: coriander, gentle and Roman absinthe, marjoram, yarrow, sandalwood, galangal, and cardoon. Each ingredient is carefully measured, creating a subtle play of aromas and delicacy. The contemporary reinterpretation focuses on balance: a lower alcohol content, greater roundness on the palate, and a surprising drinkability. A vermouth that tells our idea of elegance.
